Mini Archie’s December Furtle Around The Blogosphere
Furtle (v): to have a rummage or delve into the contents of something
This month I have knitted a pair of socks!

I have one pair left to knit and then that’s the 2024 list of “socks for others” finished! As I’ve only knitted for other people this year, once the next pair are finished, I will only be knitting for myself for at least the remainder of 2025 and possibly beyond - I need to not spend all my (limited) knitting(/sewing) time and energy making for other people so I’ve decided that I am going to say no/not offer next year. I would have liked to get the final pair made while it was still 2024, but that’s not going to be possible, unfortunately. Please chip in if you have any advice on how to stick to this, I suspect I’m going to need it!

ReplyDeleteThese socks are so cheery! Well done. *waves pompoms* You will have to have MA ready to prod you if you don't say No to making more things for others. Maybe the best thing is to always, say, "I'll have to think about it" in the moment and then come home and review your priority projects list to remind you what's important. I have done a better job in 2024 NOT signing up for every guild challenge and exchange. I know you can do this. It's so important to spend your art time doing what you really want!!! *sends comforting chumly huggles and steely resolve pocket huggles for when you need them*
