Block 9: Rainbow Row
The village where the lady who makes the planters lives heard about the house painting going on in block 6 and decided to copy, with everyone furtling in their sheds for tins of old paint. One Bank Holiday weekend, the sun was shining (a noteable event) and the first row of houses set to scrubbing, sanding, filling and painting while the sun shone. Other residents pitched in to help and there was a village barbeque on the Monday evening, by which time most of the villagers were so jiggered that they could barely hold their sausage buns, let alone get out of their deckchairs when the sun went down.
