Block 7: The Not-Drab-Anymore Village
The residents of this village were so fed up of the drab appearance of their village that they approached the parish council for some funding for paint and plants, with the plan of entering both 'Bloom' and 'Village Of The Year'. So far, the exemplar houses have been painted, bulbs and perennials (all planted for pollinators) have been ordered (along with tonnes of peat-free and mushroom compost), and the residents are fundraising so they can buy more paint, an extra set of ladders, and some locally-made planters which a lady in the next village over makes in her shed.
